Use Politeness To Get A Job Offer
Updated: Dec 28, 2020
Did you know that most BA job candidates don’t follow-up after their interview?
This is good news for you. Unless you’re one of them…
1. Allow you to stay top-of-mind to your interviewer
2. Give you the opportunity to mention anything you left out during the interview
Maybe you forgot to tell them something about a specific skill you have, or you had a great idea for them that came to you after you left the interview.
This is your chance to remind them that you want the job and that you’re a great fit for it.
And that’s why a thank letter is so important; it gives the interviewer another opportunity to not just remember you, but remember why they liked you.
By helping to increase the number of times they think of you, the more familiar you become to them.
You’ve heard the saying, familiarity breeds trust, right? Your name is more likely to make it to the top of their hiring list if they feel like they “know” you.
If you want the job, you can’t afford to leave anything to chance. Having a great interview isn’t enough. You must take every opportunity to show them you are the best fit. If you don’t, I can guarantee you that someone else is.
Make sure you write an effective thank you letter after your next job interview to give yourself an advantage that will bring you closer to a job offer.
